The readability check looks at contrast, quiet zone, module size, logo coverage, error correction and content length. It cannot test your printer, your paper, the lighting, or the phone in a customer's hand. Test physically before printing at volume.

Dietary labels on menus

Dietary and allergen labels are entered by whoever builds the menu. Nothing is verified and no nutritional claim is made or checked. Exported menus tell diners to speak to staff about allergies, and that remains the correct advice.

Scanning and readability

The readability check measures contrast, quiet zone, module size and how much content a code carries. It cannot predict every scanner, printer, material or lighting condition. Print a test at the real size, on the real material, and scan it before committing to a run.
